Let’s hope that 2020 brings forth the much needed research and findings that will reform cannabis for all the healing properties that it has.
“While we still need more clinical trials, especially human trials, cannabinoid therapy for cancer looks very promising.
It’s the holy grail of medical research: a cure for cancer. But while that still ceases to be a reality, the future of cancer treatment may lie in cannabis. Research tells us that cannabinoid therapy offers potential as a treatment for cancer symptoms, and possibly even for cancer itself.
Research regarding the anti-tumor effect of cannabinoid therapy in animal models holds a lot of hope. Unfortunately, human clinical trials on cannabinoid therapy are still not quite on the horizon. We need to understand more about the safety and efficacy of using cannabinoids to try to reduce tumor size before funding for clinical trials will come forward. Hopefully, for the sake of our communities, this is sooner rather than later.”
