The McGowan Labor Government of Western Australia has now made it easier for patients to access medicinal cannabis. General Practitioners are now allowed to prescribe the medication without the need for referral to a specialist.
The new changes bring Western Australia closer into line with other states and territories. It follows a detailed analysis of three years’ worth of data by the WA Department of Health.
